A DIY fan has turned a run-down house into his dream home by doing all the home renovations himself- and the transformation is amazing.
Posting on the Facebook group DIY on a Budget Official, Ryan Lewis Powell explained how he bought the property three years ago and has worked tirelessly to update the dated decor.
Starting off in the kitchen, Ryan swapped the old wooden cabinets for a sleek white design and replaced the tired lino floor with marble-effect tiles.
After stripping the tiles on the walls, the DIY fan painted it khaki green and finished off with some house plants and tropical rug.
In the living room, Ryan kept the walls white but opted for a bright green feature wall and added grey wooden floors.
The bathroom has also had a trendy update too – as the new homeowner swapped the shower bath for a freestanding tub.
He also added a flatscreen in the bathroom along with a brick feature wall and new trendy sink.
Finally, Ryan gave the outside of the house a new lease of life by redoing the front patio and painting the windows and front door grey.
Sharing incredible before-and-after photos with the group’s two million members, Ryan wrote: “Still more to do but this is it so far.
“All the work has been done by myself and my dad.”
Since sharing the photos yesterday, Ryan’s post has racked up over 18,000 “likes” in the group – and members were amazed by the transformation.
“Wow,” one replied. “That’s fantastic well done lots of hard work but look at the benefit of it all now.”
Another added: “Absolute dream home, would love to live there.”
A third wrote: “Well done, you have turned it onto a beautiful home!”
